3 Healthy Habits for the BEST Girl-Boss Life

GIRL BOSS HABITS

One of my goals in the new year is to be the best version of myself, both in my personal and business life. As a digital specialist, it’s super easy for me to get distracted and forget about my goals. However, I found that the best way to keep my goals is to start healthy habits that aligned with them. Today, I’m sharing several healthy habits girl-bosses have. As you read, I encourage you to think about what you can begin to carry out in your day-to-day.

1. BE HEALTHY

The first habit boss women work on is their health. They understand that their health equals wealth. Let me break it down, what happens when you neglect your health or your wealth? Let’s say you spend your money with no regard for a budget or your income-level. One day you may wake up and realize that you’re deep in debt. Now, let’s apply that to health. What happens when you eat with no regard for the effects on your body? One day you may wake up and realize that you’re sick and overweight. If you’re like me and want to be a girl boss in every aspect of your life, you need to focus on your health.

My strategy is simple:

1 –  Drink More Water

To keep me on track, I downloaded the free Daily Water app. You can tally the number of glasses you drink each day, and the app icon has a static notification to remind you where you’re at with your daily goal.

2- Eat Healthy

I used Yelp and created a list of healthy restaurants and foods I can go to whenever I don’t have the time to cook.

3 – Establish an exercise routine

I made a really easy schedule for myself. Go to the Gym 3 times a week. I haven’t set an exact date since my schedule fluctuates so much.

4- Get quality sleep

If there’s anything I’ve learned in the pursuit of owning my own business is that sleep should be NUMERO UNO on the priority list. Lack of sleep takes a toll on your cognitive ability. Boss women are sharp, they’re ready to answer any question on the spot. Getting a good nights rest helps them stay on their A-Game.

2. INVEST IN EDUCATION.

This is a fun habit to keep! I firmly believe that you should never stop learning, especially if you own a business. Even more so if you own an online business, because the internet continues to rapidly evolve. I like to invest in e-courses, webinars and conferences relevant to my industry in order to stay on top of my game. If you’re like me and are a solopreneur, it can get pretty lonesome working by yourself. Conferences have been helpful in order to get me out and about and meet fellow creatives. 3. GET SOCIAL IN REAL LIFE

Cultivating healthy REAL relationships is so important, however, it continues to be something I struggle with. I have thousands of followers on Instagram and Facebook but I hardly know any of them. This year I am making it a point to reach out to women that I admire and would like to get to know better. These real life relationships force me to get out of my comfort zone and grow as a person. I’ve already met up with two of the women who read my blog and it was an amazing experience.

Build powerful contacts in all areas of your life. Your Network equals your Net WORTH. Girl Bosses are wise enough to know that their next employer(e), customer, or business partner may be anywhere, but you can’t find them if you don’t get out there.
